Privacy
This website collects nothing from the people who read it. What follows explains what that means in practice, and what happens if you write to the firm.
What this website collects
Nothing directly. There are no forms, no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. The site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage to identify or track you.
It contains no analytics, no advertising, no social media trackers, and no tag manager. While you read it, it makes no requests to any third-party service: the typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font provider, and there are no embedded videos, maps, comment systems, or chat widgets. Your visit is not reported to anyone.
What the host records
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and Cloudflare delivers it. As with any web host, Cloudflare records technical details of each request. These ordinarily include the requesting IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and the browser’s user-agent string.
Those records exist so that the site can be served, kept available, and protected from abuse. They are held and processed by Cloudflare under its own terms. The firm does not use them to build a profile of anyone, and does not combine them with any other information.
If you write to the firm
Email sent to [email protected] arrives in a mailbox the firm controls. It is used to read and answer your message, and to keep a record of the correspondence. It is used for nothing else.
It is never sold, rented, shared for anyone else’s marketing, or added to a mailing list. The firm publishes no newsletter and runs no email campaigns.
Who else can see it
Cloudflare, as the host of this website. The firm’s email provider, as the operator of the mailbox. Nobody else, unless the firm is legally compelled to disclose something, in which case it will disclose only what is required of it.
How long it is kept
Correspondence is kept while the matter it concerns is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that the firm has a record of what was said. It is then deleted. Host records are kept for the retention period Cloudflare applies to them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information the firm holds about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to its use. You may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. The firm will respond within the period the applicable law allows, and will not charge you for a reasonable request.
Changes to this notice
If this website ever gains an analytics tool, a cookie, an embedded third-party service, or a form, this notice will be updated before that change goes live, not after.
